FAQ

How is the IITM BS course grade calculated?

The final score T is the better of two branches: 0.6×end-term + 0.3×(better quiz), or 0.45×end-term + 0.25×Quiz 1 + 0.3×Quiz 2. Foundation courses have no GAA (assignment average) term at all — only quizzes and the end term count toward T.

What if I miss a quiz?

A missed quiz counts as 0 in that branch's formula, but since the calculator (and the official formula) takes the better of two branches, one weak or missing quiz doesn't automatically sink your grade — it depends on your other scores.

Am I eligible to sit the end term?

Per the grading document: your best-5-of-7 weekly assignment average needs to be at least 40, and you need to have attended at least one of the two quizzes.
