How is the IITM BS course grade calculated?
The final score T = 0.05×GAA + the better of two branches: 0.6×end-term + 0.25×(better quiz), or 0.4×end-term + 0.25×Quiz 1 + 0.3×Quiz 2. GAA is the average of your first 10 weekly graded assignments. Both branches are computed and whichever gives you the higher score counts.
What if I miss a quiz?
A missed quiz counts as 0 in that branch's formula, but since the calculator (and the official formula) takes the better of two branches, one weak or missing quiz doesn't automatically sink your grade — it depends on your other scores.
Am I eligible to sit the end term?
Per the grading document: your best-5-of-7 weekly assignment average needs to be at least 40, and you need to have attended at least one of the two quizzes.
