IITM BS answers
What is GAA in IITM BS?
GAA (Graded Assignment Average) is the average of your first 10 weekly graded assignments in a course — and it contributes 5% to your final score, but only in Diploma-level courses and above; Foundation courses don't use it at all.
- ▸This is a common source of confusion because the two levels' formulas genuinely differ, not just in weighting — Foundation courses drop the GAA term completely and lean more on quizzes and the end term instead.
- ▸Even though W11/W12 assignments aren't part of the GAA average, the grading document specifically notes their content still shows up on the end term — so it's worth submitting them anyway.
