IITM BS answers
What is CCC (Credit Clearing Capability) in IITM BS?
CCC is the maximum number of courses you're allowed to register for in a term, based on how you performed in your previous terms — it ranges from 2 to 4.
- ▸It's calculated from M, the average marks of courses you passed in your previous two terms: M < 50 → CCC 2, 50 ≤ M < 70 → CCC 3, M ≥ 70 → CCC 4.
- ▸If you failed every course you attempted in the previous term, your CCC drops to 2 for the next term.
- ▸CCC defaults to 4 for everyone entering the Diploma or Degree level, for JEE-entry candidates in their first term, and for anyone registering in the same term as their qualifier exam.
- ▸The document itself notes CCC is a suggestion, not a mandatory cap enforced against you course-by-course — but it's what the registration system uses to determine how many courses you can add.
