IITM BS answers
What does an "I" grade mean in IITM BS?
I stands for Incomplete — you completed enough of the course to not fail outright, but missed the end term, the OPPE, or both, and get to make up just the missing piece next term instead of repeating everything.
- ▸There are three variants: I (missed only the end term — your quiz/OPPE/assignment marks carry over, you just re-register for the end term alone or take a Make Up Exam); I_OP (failed or missed the OPPE but wrote the end term and crossed the cutoff — you redo the OPPE alone); and I_BOTH (missed both — you redo both).
- ▸In every case, you can instead choose to repeat the entire course from scratch at full fee if you'd rather not deal with the carried-over marks.
